Research Abstract |
Theoretical studies of medium-heavy nuclei have been performed in this research project based on the framework of interacting boson model (IBM). This project has been conducted in the collaboration with the nuclear theory group of Physics Department, Peking University, and eight chinese physicists visited Univ. of Tokyo. Six papers have been published already and three papers will be published in near future. The major subjects studied in the project are, (1) determination of the structure function of the S-nucleon pair, (2) structure of odd-nuclei, especially, the signature dependence of electric magnetic transitions, (3) fermion-boson mapping by using Dyson model. In addition, we studied the octupole deformation, clustering phenomena, F-spin symmetry, etc.
