Research Abstract |
Ntw finishing method has been developed by using the fine grain Suspended in inguied (water). When the fine grain is supplied into the pipe (spcimen) rotatting on its own axis, the grain moves and causes the polishing action to the internal surface of specimen by centrifugal force of the grain. The results are as follows: 1) Examination of the surface profile of the polished specimen indicated that the surface roughness is affected remarkably by the rotatting speed of specimen. 2) There is good agreement between the polishing motion of grain in the pipe and the one theoretically calculated from kinematic equation of the grain. This suggested that good polishing condition can be estimated well from the theoretical culculation.
