Research Abstract |
N-Hydroxyphthalimede(NHPI) was used for amperometric detection of aliphatic amines in flow systems by monitoring the current of amine-NHPI complexes. The principles of the tecnique were discussed through cyclic voltammetries of butylamine-NHPI systemes in 0.1M tetraethyl-ammonium perchlorate/acetonitrile. The priority of the detection with respect to the potential dependence and a linear relationship between the observed peak current and the amount of the amine up to 120 ng injection were demonstrated.
