Research Abstract |
A PRACTICAL WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM BY HYDRO-TECHNOLOGY HAS BEEN CONSTRUCTED AND UTILIZED FOR THE TREATMENT OF LIVE-STOCK WASTEWATER IN THE STOCK FARM OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ANIMAL HUSBANDRY, NATIONAL TAIWAN UNIVERSITY, TAIPEI, R.O.C. THE TEST OF PRACTICAL SCALE OF NEW WASTEWATER TREATMENT PROCESS BASED ON BIOFLOCCULATION CAN BE EASILY ACCOMPLISHED UNDER SYSTEMATIC UTILIZATION ON ELECTRIC PUMP, VORTEX TUBE, BLOWER, AND AIR LIFT PUMPS IN CONTINUOUS AEROBIC TREATMENT PROCESS BY A SPECIALLY DESIGNED HYDRAULIC SYSTEM. THE DESIGNED TREATMENT SYSTEM HAS THE FOLLOWING SPECIAL FEATURES: a) HIGHLY EFFICIENT SEPARATION OF LIQUID AND SOLID. b) OPTIMUM FOR MAKING METHANE GAS AND COMPOST BY THICKENING RAW SLUDGE WHICH IS LINEARLY REMOVED THROUGH VORTEX TUBE. c) PROMOTING THE FUNCTIONS OF SAND SETTLER,EQVALIZING TANK AND THICKENER BY SYSTEMATIZING BLOWER, AIR LIFT PUMPS AND VORTEX TUBE. d) HIGHLY EFFICIENT SECONDARY TREATMENT BASED ON BIOFLOCCULATION HYPOTHESIS. e) TREATMENT SECONDARY SLUDGE BY DIGESTION AND FOOD CHAIN. ON THE OTHER HAND, BASIC AND APPLICATIVE HYDRAULIC MODEL TESTS ON THE VORTEX TUBE SLUDGE REMOVAL STRUCTURES AND AIR LIFT PUMPS, WERE CARRIED OUT AND STUDIES ON HYDRAULIC DIMENSIONS WERE MADE TO OBTAIN FORE DESIGN OF THE STRUCTURES.
