Research Abstract |
Up to date, some ingenious torrent intakes have been developed and are fulfilling their function under the limited conditions. But there are few torrent intakes to take in schemed water-intake stably depending on the river morphology, purpose of water-intake and quantity of water-intake. Judging from the results of research on the actual conditions of executive instances of torrent intakes in various places and hydraulic model tests, it is certified that the BAR SCREEN BACK STREAM INTAKE TYPE TORRENT INTAKE which is developed in related to this research project is most wide usable. We can determine on the hydraulic dimensions of the BAR SCREEN BACK STREAM INTAKE TYPE TORRENT INTAKE to take in schemed water-intake stably depending on the river morphology, purpose of water-intake and quantity of water-intake. BAR SCREEN COMPOUND TYPE TORRENT INTAKE which is developed as a modified Tyrolean type torrent intake with steep bar screen and water cushion is wide usable as well as the BAR SCREEN BACK STREAM INTAKE TYPE TORRENT INTAKE. We may acknowledge that OVER FLOW WEIR SIDE STREAM INTAKE TYPE TORRENT INTAKE with steep bar screen and water cushion is wide usable, too.
