Research Abstract |
This project was undertaken with the grant received from the Monbusho International Scientific Research Program. Three teams of field research were sent to two countries each, namely, Nepal and Thailand, Fiji and New Zealand, and Indonesia and the Philippines respectively to obtain information with respect to the state of the art of the international educational co-operation and assistance extended to these countries except New Zealand by other countries and international organizations. As for New Zealand, the policy and the practice of official as well as non-governmental development co-operation and assistance have been studied. Country-specific situations of overseas co-operation and assistance have been identified including methods and mechanisms existed for assessing projects.
