Research Abstract

The detector, tagging and date taking systems for the experiment of the (gamma,pi^+) reaction were checked. The photopion energy spectra have been measured using the tagging system at Linear Accelerator Laboratory of Saskachewan University. These energy spectra were analyzed. The results shows that these systems are very useful for the present study, but that it is needed to (i) correct the electron detectors of the tagger and (ii) make a sufficient background shield for pi^+ detectors, especially at the forward.
