Research Abstract |
This project was conducted by two approach of ecological and culture experimental methods. The results of this study were as follows; (1) Seasonal changes of volvocine algae, Volvox, Eudorinal Pandorina, and dominant species of phytoplankton were found at Lake Ketobanoike, Lake Ochiguchinoike, Lake Koikuchinoike and Lake Oike in the Lake Tsugaru-Juniko group. (2) Seasonal changes of chemical and physical environments in these four Lakes were detected for the following factors; Total-N, NO_3-N, NO_2-N, Total-P, PO_4-P, Si, Cl, some kinds of chlorophyll, sugar, protein, pH, water temperature and dissolved oxygen. (3) Nitrogen and carbon sources requirements for growth of Haematococcus lacustris were investigated. Moreover, nutritional control factors for cyst formation and germination of H. lacustris were discovered.
