Research Abstract

The purpose of this investigation was to clarify the influences early sport activity on children's mental development. In order to achieve this purpose, two times investigation were administered.
The first investigation contained five questionnaire ; the attitude scale for win and loss in sports, the attitude scale for behavioral norms in sports games, the attitude scale for Physical Education lesson, the semantic-differential scale for self concepts, and Yatabe-Guilford personality inventory.
The second investigation contained three questionnaire and two physiological measurements ; the scale for anxiety inclination, the scale for a scsne of fatigue, the work quantity by kraepelin census, EMG on the forehead, and the latent time of alpha-blocking in EEG.
The results were as follows ;
In the first investigation by questionnair method, a tendency was indicated that the participants decided non-paticipants or retired-participant by discrimona function, had an inclination to drop out from sports club.
In the second investigation, the increase of fatigue sense anxiety and the decrease of work quantity by Kraepelin census and self concept score, were indicated as the game season had advanced. On the contrary, two physiological measurements indicated no difference.
