Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では、リン酸基を含有する有機高分子シード粒子の精密合成を行う。次いで、シード粒子に対し、無機イオンを静電相互作用を駆動力として導入し、原子・ナノ粒子レベルで有機無機成分がハイブリッドした高分子微粒子材料の創出を行う。ハイブリッド化条件と、生成微粒子のコロイド安定性、構造の因果関係について詳細に検討し、元素ブロック高分子微粒子のデザイン・合成技術の確立を目指す。平成28年度は、元素ブロックラテックスフィルムの作製および構造・機能評価について検討を行った。
平成27年度に合成を行った、有機と無機が原子・ナノ粒子レベルでハイブリッドした元素ブロック高分子微粒子の水分散液を、ガラス基板上に塗布・乾燥させることでラテックスフィルムを作製し、その構造・機能評価を行った。
構造評価：生成フィルムの表面構造、内部構造を、レーザー顕微鏡、走査型電子顕微鏡および超薄切片の透過型電子顕微鏡観察により評価した。その結果、乾燥後に得られるフィルム表面に数百ナノメートルサイズの凹凸が観察され、無機イオン（元素ブロック）の添加量が増加するに伴い、その凹凸構造が明瞭に観察された。これは、無機イオンが架橋剤として働き、高分子の相互拡散が抑制されたためだと考えられる。無機イオンとして、Caイオン、Cuイオン、Mgイオン、Alイオン等が元素ブロックとして粒子に導入され、架橋剤として機能することを明らかにした。
機能評価：元素ブロックラテックスフィルムの熱安定性を熱重量測定により評価したところ、600度まで加熱しても燃え残りがあることを確認した。また、紫外可視分光光度計を用いた光透過率測定により、生成フィルムが可視光領域において高い透過性を有することを明らかにした。
