Outline of Annual Research Achievements

中性子星に次ぐ高密度天体の候補として、我々は全く新しい物質「K中間子陽子物質」(KPM)を予言した。これは、負K中間子と陽子だけからなる新しい原子核で、それを記述した論文は2017年にPhysics Letters B誌に発表された。そこで明らかにされているように、KPMは極めて高い密度をもつ中性のバリオン凝縮体で、対応する中性子星よりもバリオンあたりの質量が低くなるため、他の物質に崩壊することができず、また自らが励起されることもない、いわば「暗黒の物質」である。本研究では、まず、この予言の基礎となるKbar-N相互作用とその束縛状態であるラムダ(1405)共鳴粒子の質量をいろいろな方法で決定した。特に、最近発表されたCLAS実験(光核反応)の綿密なデータの解析から、その質量は伝統的に確立している1405MeVであり、従ってKbar-N相互作用は極めて強い引力を持つことが再確認された。二重バリオン物質であるK-pp核がDISTO実験およびJ-PARC-E27実験から高密度束縛状態であることが明らかにされ、さらにカイラル対称性の破れの回復に伴いKbar-N相互作用の凝集力が強まることも、KPM形成を強める効果である。この情報を元に多重Lambda*=K-p束縛状態が存在し、その多重度が8を越えると中性子物質より安定化する可能性が示された。さらに、KPMが初期宇宙のビッグバンに於いて形成される過程、及び中性子星が崩壊してKPMとなる過程を研究しつつある。KPMは、その単位一個あたり反クオークを1個含むクオーク・反クオークのハイブリッド物質であり、宇宙初期に反バリオンが消滅する際にそれを逃れた反クオークがつくるレリックな物質であると見做される。
