Outline of Annual Research Achievements

光物質変換系との連結を目指したナノシート型光捕集系の構築、のタイトルのもとで研究を行った。
具体的には、無機ナノシート上に太陽光を効率よく吸収する色素集合体を構築し、人工光捕集系を構築した。特にサブポルフィリン誘導体を独自に設計、合成し、太陽光の短波長側の有効利用を試みた。無機ナノシートとしては、化学合成粘土鉱物の一種であるサポナイト(スメクトンSA)を用いた。ナノシートと色素の複合化は静電引力を用いて行った。
一方、無機ナノシート上に光物質変換を行いうる色素を別途新規に設計、合成し、効率の良い分子性光触媒を作成した。まず、光捕集系の存在しない系において、これらの触媒分子が物質変換反応を行いうることを確認した。
さらに続いて、これら二つの系を無機ナノシート上に共存させることで、太陽光を有効に捕集し、かつ、物質変換を行いうる無機ナノシート型人工光合成系の構築を行った。
幾つかの分子性光触媒についての検討を行ったが、Ruを中心元素とするポルフィリンを分子性光触媒として用いることで、エネルギー蓄積型化合物である、エポキシ化合物を効率よく生成することに成功した。
これらの成果は、分子を超分子的に配列させ、まさに化学工場のように各機能性分子を並べて用いうることを示しており、さらに精緻な反応システムの構築が期待される。このシステムを発展させることで、太陽光全域の光をより効率的に利用した人工光合成システムの構築へとつなげて行きたい。
