Outline of Annual Research Achievements

平成28年度は、ポルフィリンのJ会合体分子をアルミニウムナノ構造体近傍に配置すると、ポルフィリンのSoret帯とQ帯の波長でそれぞれプラズモンと強結合を示し、分散カーブにおける半交差な振る舞いと結合振動子モデルによる解析に加えて、励起スペクトルの測定からSoret帯およびQ帯のそれぞれの強結合系でハイブリッド準位の形成に基づくスペクトル変調が観測された。このことから、電子状態が変調していることを実験的に明らかにすることに成功した。特筆すべきは、Soret帯とQ帯の2つの波長域において電子状態の変調によるスペクトルの広帯域化がそれぞれ観測され、太陽光の幅広い波長をアンテナする光反応場として有用であることを示した。
同様の考え方を結合プラズモニック系にも適用した。複雑な形状の金dolmen構造(結合プラズモニック構造)はスペクトルが分裂することが知られており、これまで双極子モードと四重極子モード間の干渉(ファノ共鳴)に基づいてスペクトルに凹みが生じ、スペクトルが分裂すると考えられてきた。本研究では、波長可変レーザーと光電子顕微鏡を用いて金dolmen構造における光電子放出の作用スペクトルを測定したところ、強結合に基づいてハイブリッド準位が形成されたこと、そしてハイブリッド準位の形成に基づきスペクトルが分裂することを明らかにした。したがって、電子状態や振動状態の変調、そして禁制遷移モードのダイナミクスを明らかにするという観点、そして電子状態の変調による光吸収波長の広帯域化、禁制遷移モードが示す高い光閉じ込め効果によって創出される有用な光反応場の構築という観点から、強結合に基づいて電子状態を変調し高効率な光化学反応場を構築する当初の目的を達成した。
