Outline of Annual Research Achievements

第二年度では以下の項目について研究を行った。得られた成果について各種学会・学術誌に発表した。
１) リグニン前駆物質関連分子の局在と高分子リグニン局所構造の解析：
リグニン骨格構造のうち、すべての維管束植物に存在するグアイアシル核の前駆体はコニフェリルアルコールである。コニフェリルアルコール配糖体であるコニフェリンの分布について、細胞壁木化過程との相関を可視化し、オープンアクセス論文として発表した。さらに被子植物のリグニンに存在するシリンギル核前駆体の配糖体シリンギンについても同様に分析を行った。シリンギンは主に樹皮に存在し、貯蔵量の増減と木化時期とが一致しないことから木化との関係性は不明であったが、シリンギンがコニフェリン同様に木化に利用されていることが本研究により示唆された。また植物中の他生体成分として抽出成分および無機成分についても実験を行い、それぞれ興味深い成果を得た。得られた成果については各種学会に発表した。
２) 同位体標識化合物の合成と投与：　初年度に安定同位体標識化合物の合成および植物への投与を行い、安定同位体標識化合物が植物中でリグニンへと取り込まれたことを確認した。得られた標識リグニンについて、構造解析を行った。
３) 各種化合物の標品スペクトルデータベースの構築：　植物中には様々な水溶性・非水溶性成分がある。特に微量成分に関しては既報の化合物であっても純粋な化合物としては市販されていないことが多い。そのため、植物中の分布解析を進める上で、抽出実験を並行して進める必要がある。初年度に引き続き、各種の植物生体成分を単離・精製して二次イオン質量分析に供した。
