Outline of Annual Research Achievements

単純ヘルペスウイルス(HSV)のヌクレオカプシドは核内膜をエンベロープといて被ることによって核内外膜腔に一旦出芽し(primary envelopment)、その後、エンベロープと核外膜が融合することで、ヌクレオカプシドが細胞質へ放出される(de-envelopment)。近年、小胞媒介性核外郵送を制御するウイルス因子が次々と同定されつつある一方で、本輸送を制御する宿主細胞因子およびその作用機序はほとんど明らかになっていない。本研究の目的は、HSVの核膜通過を制御するウイルス因子と結合据える宿主因子を同定することで、小胞媒介性核外輸送の詳細な分子機構を明らかにすることである。昨年度、我々はHSVが感染すると宿主因子CD98hcが細胞膜から核膜へ移行し、HSVのde-envelopmentを制御することを明らかにした。本年度は、CD98hcの核膜への移行の責任ウイルス因子の探索を行い、CD98hcの核膜への局在を制御すると思われるHSV因子を同定した。
