Outline of Annual Research Achievements

細胞質流動は細胞内で細胞質全体が流れるように移動する集団的な現象である。本研究課題では、流動場が自発的に形成される3つのタイプ(Circulation型、Saltation型、Rotation型)の細胞質流動を統一的に「ゆらぎと構造の協奏」のコンセプトから説明するモデルを構築する。そして、その妥当性を実験的に検証することを目的とする。本研究では線虫(C. elegans)の「減数分裂時細胞質流動(MeiCS)」に着目して研究をすすめた。昨年度末までに3つのタイプを説明するモデルの構築と、流動の原動力を発生する微小管の長さを制御することによってCirculation型からRotation型への変換が起こることを実験的に検証できた(Kimura K., et al., Nat Cell Biol, 2017)。そこで、本年度はSaltation型からCirculation型への変換を実験的に再現することを試みた。具体的には、微小管の上を移動し、流動を引き起こすモータータンパク質の活性を変化させることによって変換させることができるかどうかについて検討を行った。これまでに、変換が生じることを確認しているが、定量的な解析については現在進行中で、確定的な結果を得るまでにはさらなる研究が必要である。
