Outline of Annual Research Achievements

ニュートリノ質量と暗黒物質の存在は, 既に素粒子標準模型を超えた物理として揺るぎないものとなった. これまでニュートリノ質量起源と暗黒物質の関係は輻射型シーソー模型の枠組みで広く議論されてきた. 本研究ではSIMP暗黒物質を通してニュートリノが質量を獲得する新しいシナリオを構築した. SIMP暗黒物質は一般に強く自己相互作用するためスカラーポテンシャルの不安定性を導く. この問題のため比較的に素朴に構築した模型は全て棄却されることが分かった. そこで共鳴を用いたレゾナントSIMPのアイデアを用いてニュートリノ質量模型の拡張を行った. 共鳴機構を用いることで理論的にも実験的にも許されるパラメタ領域が発見され, また厳しい実験的制限があるため近い将来にその検証も期待できることが分かった. 一方で, SIMP研究はその強い自己相互作用に触発されてその重力波検証についての研究にも派生した. さらに暗黒物質候補としてWIMPやSIMPだけでなく, アクシオンがその役割を果たす模型についても検討を行った. このような模型ではニュートリノの質量起源となるスケールと強いCP問題の解決するPQ対称性の破れのスケールが統一される. SIMP研究では暗黒物質の安定性を保証する対称性とレプトン数が同一視されたのに対し, こちらではPQ対称性とレプトン数が同一視されたことになる. アクシオンは強いCP問題を解決するだけでなく, 暗黒物質問題の解としても利用できるため異なる物理がさらに関係づいたことになる.
