Outline of Annual Research Achievements

色純度が極めて高く,ワイドレンジにロスレスフィルタリング機能を有するイメージセンサの開発を目的とし,波長選択,集光,光局在を可能にするプラズモニックデバイスを提案した.具体的には,金属膜を同心円状の凹凸構造に加工し,中心部に開口を設けたカラーフィルタを作製し,カラーフィルタリング透過特性を実証した.
ガラス基板状に周期の異なる同心円状凹凸構造を電子線リソグラフィによりパターニングし,銀薄膜を成膜後,同心円状凹凸中心部にFIBにより開口を設けることによりプラズモンフィルタを作製した.作製構造の透過光分布および透過ペクトルを計測した.周期に応じて可視光領域から近赤外光領域にかけてワイドレンジかつマルチバンドな波長透過特性を示すことを実証した.各構造の透過波長帯域は100nmと狭く,従来のカラーフィルタよりも高色純度であることを示した.
構造周期,デューティー比,凹凸深さ,膜厚,開口径の各構造パラメータに対する波長透過スペクトルを数値解析により調べた.入射角度依存性および下面凹凸構造がない場合の透過特性など,提案プラズモンフィルタの基本特性を調べた.
さらにアルミニウム薄膜においても同様のカラーフィルタリング特性が得られること,紫外域から近赤外域にかけてのワイドレンジなフィルタリング特性を示すことを数値解析により示した.この結果は,プラズモンフィルタの実装において半導体プロセスを流用可能であることが示唆している.
イメージセンサの1画素に相当する4分割フォトダイオードを設計試作し,フォトダイオード上にプラズモンフィルタを作製した.
