Outline of Annual Research Achievements

単一鎖レベルで,(光吸収・電荷分離・電荷輸送)過程や(電荷輸送・電荷再結合・発光)過程などの高次機能を有するDNA/光電機能分子高次組織体を電極間に伸長固定し,単一鎖レベルでの高次構造と光電機能の関連を明らかにすることで,分子レベルでのDNA 物性への理解を深めるとともに,革新的な光電機能を示す次世代分子ネットワークの創製を目的とする。
平成29年度は,以下の二つの観点から光電機能性DNA鎖ネットワークとしての特製評価を行った。
1) 電極間隔25μmの対向電極間にDNAを伸長配向した場合,電極間中央部分ではDNA単一鎖伸張固定できるものの,高電界強度印加の影響か電極表面近傍でのDNA伸張構造はかなり乱雑に乱れる。電極表面上でも単一鎖レベルで引き伸ばされたDNA鎖の物性評価を行うため,誘電伸張に用いる電極間の内側に一対のフロート電極を導入した電極系を作成した(研究打切りにより,既に発注済みの電極作製費用は本補助事業から補助されず,別途支払いを行わざるを得なかった)。この電極を用いてDNAの誘電伸張固定を行ったところフロート電極間にDNAが単分子レベルで橋渡しされていることが確認された。フロート電極近傍にDNAの乱れは認められず,単分子レベルにおけるDNA電気物性評価に有効な系と考えられる。
2) 同様に,光電機能性や配向構造の評価をより明確にまた定量的に行うため,単一鎖のみではなくDNA伸張固定鎖が2次元状に連続したDNA/光電機能分子一軸配向ナノシートの作成を試みた。電極上に展開するDNA溶液中のDNA濃度増加させ誘電伸長させることで,フロート電極間に,一軸配向が期待されるDNAナノシートの作製が可能となった。1)と併せ,電極間伸長固定されたDNA光電機能物性の定量的評価に有効と思える試料の作成が可能となった。
