Outline of Annual Research Achievements

今年度は、昨年度に確立した試料作製技術や測定技術を用いて、トポロジカル超伝導体へのスピン流注入を達成することを目標にして幾つかの実験に取り組んだ。まず第一に、昨年度から取り組んできた、s波超伝導体/磁性絶縁体接合試料に対する熱的スピン流注入の実験について、超伝導転移点直下でコヒーレンス因子によるスピン流-電流変換効果の増大を観測した(論文投稿中)。これは最近報告された理論提案とも整合する結果であり、超伝導スピンカロリトロニクスにおける新しい成果として注目を集めることが期待される。
次に、d波超伝導体である銅酸化物YBCOとフェリ磁性絶縁体LiFe5O8の接合系において、非自明な超伝導ボルテックスネルンスト効果を観測した(出版済み)。磁気界面の影響で、ネルンスト電圧が磁場に対して振動的な振る舞いを示すことを特徴とし、トポロジカルな性質を有する超伝導ボルテックスと磁性が関係した新しい熱輸送現象である。
さらに、p波超伝導体の有望な系として、本新学術領域のメンバーからの試料提供により準備した幾つかの空間反転の破れた原子層超伝導体に対してスピン注入実験を行った。まず、室温の常伝導状態でスピン流注入によるスピン流-電流変換効果を測定したところ、明瞭な信号が得られた(論文準備中)。この結果はこれらの原子層物質で効率的なスピン流-電流変換が可能なことを意味する。一方で、これらの試料で温度を下げて抵抗率を測定したところ、報告された超伝導転移点では超伝導を示さないことがわかった。超伝導転移が消失した原因として金属膜をつけたことによるバンド変調が疑われる。今後は、上記実験と並行して試料作製条件を検討してきた空間反転対称性を人工的に破った超伝導体試料に対して引き続きスピン注入実験研究を行う予定である。
