Outline of Annual Research Achievements

これまでの一連の研究から、第一原理計算に基づいて低エネルギー有効模型を構築し、その多極子相関関数の半定量的な評価から、URu2Si2、CeCu2Si2、UPt3などの重い電子系物質においては遍歴多極子が重要な役割をする可能性を指摘したが、前年度はそのような多極子の概念を超伝導の秩序変数に一般化し、多軌道超伝導体の群論的な分類からスピン1重項と3重項を一般化した多極子ペアの可能性について考察した。その結果、多軌道系超伝導体では、一電子軌道のもつ波動関数の対称性が超伝導ペアの対称性に影響し、これまで考えられてきた以上に多彩なギャップ構造を取りうることを示した。例えば、ノンシンモルフィックな磁気構造と共存する超伝導では必然的にブリルアンゾーン境界において超伝導ギャップがゼロとなるノード構造が出現したり、電子軌道の異方性を反映した異方的s波超伝導が出現したりし得ることが特徴的である。今年度は、これら超伝導多極子ペアの研究の発展として、局所的なペアリング状態から異方的超伝導が出現しうる可能性の具体例として、f^2結晶場基底状態がそのままボーズ凝縮するような可能性について研究した。加えて、BiS2層状超伝導体において観測されたギャップ異方性を引力機構から説明できる可能性についても検討し、さらに、その可能性をより具体的に研究する上で必要となる電子格子相互作用の軌道依存性や波数依存性の第一原理的な評価に取り組んだ。これらの研究成果は当該分野の今後の発展を支える基盤を与えるものと考えられる。
