Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では、素粒子物理学の標準理論を超えた新しいテラスケール模型と初期宇宙の進化シナリオの間のつながりに関して研究を行ってきた。具体的には、これらのテラスケール模型の存在を仮定したときに予言される物理量の間の相関関係を調べてきた。また稼働中のラージ・ハドロン・コライダー (LHC) 、計画中の国際リニアコライダー (ILC) に代表される各種高エネルギー物理学実験や、暗黒物質検出実験、重力波干渉計等の宇宙観測で得られる実験データと比較し、多角的な観点から模型を解析することにより、テラスケールで実現されている真の物理理論に迫ることを目指してきた。
本年度は主として、宇宙のバリオン数非対称性を説明する有力なシナリオの一つである電弱バリオン数生成シナリオの謎に迫ることを念頭に起き、強い1次的電弱相転移を実現する様々なテラスケール模型を取り上げ、この相転移から発生する重力波に関する研究を行った。まず、強い1次的電弱相転移を実現し、且つ暗黒物質候補粒子も合わせ持つU(1)Xゲージ模型の現象論的解析を行った。そして、現在のLHC実験や暗黒物質直接検出実験からの制限が非常に強く、将来の宇宙空間で行われる重力波観測干渉計LISA及び DECIGOで観測できるほど重力波の振幅が大きくなる可能性は低いことを指摘した。また、これらの将来の重力波観測を使ったテラスケール模型のパラメータの決定精度を調べる研究も行った。その結果、重力波観測により決定できるパラメータの精度は、将来の高輝度 LHC や ILC を使ったパラメータの決定精度に比肩し、重力波観測と加速器実験はテラスケール模型を探索する上で相補的な役割を果たせることがわかった。
