Outline of Annual Research Achievements

同位体班の佐野博士及び元素分配班のSatish-Kumar博士,技術開発班の桑原博士と密接に連携し,二次イオン質量分析法を用いた高圧合成試料の水素同位体マッピング及び局所水素同位体比測定法の開発や合成ダイヤモンドの局所炭素同位体比測定法の確立,鉄-ケイ酸塩ガラスの炭素分配実験による炭素定量分析手法の開発を行った.その結果,まず第一に,どの高圧合成試料も温度,圧力,保持時間,減圧条件などを見直す必要性があることがわかった。そこで,同位体イメージング法を組み合わせ,高圧合成試料の結晶内の軽元素マッピングを取得する事で目的元素の均一性を評価し,平衡に達したあとの分配をみているのかを定量的に評価した。その結果,高圧実験条件を最適化し,保持時間の違いによる平衡までに達する時間を評価する事に成功した。
また,すべての分析法において,SIMS分析用の試料調整が困難を極めたが,試料研磨方法,試料包埋方法を最適化することに成功した。特に高圧合成試料は結晶サイズも小さく,普通に研磨すると結晶の脱落が容易におきてしまい,鏡面研磨する事が難しい。技術開発班のイオンミリングなどによって切断した試料を用いたり平滑な分析面をえる技術を確立した。
28,29年度に行ってきたオリビンへのイオン注入による標準試料の評価,分析手法の確立にも成功し,相対感度係数など,試料を測定する準備が整った.また,元素分配班のSatish-Kumar博士と共同研究で技術開発班作成のダイヤモンド標準試料(NPD)のSIMSによる高精度炭素同位体比測定の手法の開発を行い,2シグマで1‰程度の再現性で分析することに成功しつつある。
以上より,2年の公募研究の間に,高温高圧実験条件の最適化のためのSIMSイオンイメージング分析手法の確立,試料研磨法及び試料包埋法の確立,高精度同位体測定のためのイオン検出器の最適化に成功した。
