Outline of Annual Research Achievements

バイオイメージング技術の向上により,質的に新しい生物画像を処理する必要性が高まっている.しかし,観測対象や計測手法毎に試行錯誤的に新たな生物画像処理手法を開発することは容易ではない.最近では,この問題に対して,正解のラベルが付与された訓練用のデータからモデルのパラメータを自動的に推定する機械学習を利用した手法の有効性が示されている.特に,画像を直接入力としてモデルのパラメータを推定する深層学習を用いたアプローチが注目されている.本研究では,機械学習を用いて構成した局所領域の識別手法とそれらの結果から生物画像を領域分割する手法を開発している.本年度は,画像中の局所領域に含まれるラベルの割合をクラス確率とみなし,これを回帰によって学習する手法を提案し,iPS細胞画像の識別課題に適用した.また,テクスチャ画像の領域分割のために有効な特徴を抽出するための手法としてSiameseネットワークやTripletネットワークについて検討し,それらのネットワークで抽出した特徴ベクトルを領域分割に利用した.領域分割手法としては,領域間の隣接関係を領域隣接グラフ(RAG)で表現し,領域間の隣接関係に関する制約条件を満たしつつ領域統合する手法を利用した.その他,iPS細胞画像から特徴量を抽出し,Convolutional Neural Networkを利用して抽出した特徴ベクトルを識別する手法を開発した.また,画像をきれいに拡大するための深層学習アーキテクチャを提案した.
