Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本年度の研究では、時間順序判断時に入力分布が偏向するとき、入力分布の時間的変化の特性が判断に与える影響を調査した。被験者はヘルシンキ宣言下で個人情報が匿名化され、当該研究目的でのみ使用されるという同意の下、実験に参加した。実験では右・左の手に与えられる触覚刺激の順序を判断した。ベースライン条件では、分布の中心は0msであり、どちらかの手に先に刺激が来る確率は同じになっている（50試行ｘ4セッション）。しかし、テスト条件では、分布の中心は40ms左、もしくは右へ偏向した。Abrupt群の被験者は、ベースライン条件後、すぐに分布の中心が40ms偏向した。しかし、Gradual群の被験者では、＋10ms分布がずれる試行が50試行ずつ、4回続き、最終的に40ms偏向した。すると、Gradual群のほうがAbrupt群に比べて有意に判断が偏向する、すなわち、入力分布の特性をより学習するようになることが分かった。
次に触覚の時間知覚と運動学習で、同じメカニズムを通して入力分布の学習が行われているのかをさらに調査した。触覚課題では入力分布の特徴は「時間」であるが、運動課題では、ターゲットとカーソルの間の「誤差」になる。被験者はベースライン条件ではカーソルをターゲットに合わせる運動を行ったが、テスト条件では、手運動に対してマウスの動きが15度回転するように操作した。すぐに回転がかかるAbrupt群では、すぐにターゲットとカーソルの関係が学習されたのに対し（誤差が収束）、回転が徐々にかかるGradual群ではターゲットとカーソルの間に定常的な誤差が残った（誤差が偏向）。
以上より、入力分布がダイナミックに変化する場合、時間的にゆっくりと変化する場合には課題に依存せずに、より環境に適応することが分かった。これはゆっくりな環境の変化を脳が自己に同化させるためだと考えられる。本結果は現在投稿準備中である。
