Outline of Annual Research Achievements

電子スピン系は分子磁性や医療,量子デバイスなどの広い分野から注目を集めている.従来の電子スピン系は主に毒性をもつ金属に依存しており,軽元素のみから構成される物質設計が求められている.本研究では,開口C60誘導体の内部に常磁性をもつ一酸化窒素分子を導入することで,優れた結晶性・溶解性を併せもつ有機電子スピン系の構築を目指した.
開口をもつフラーレンC60誘導体1へのNO分子の挿入を検討した.熱処理によって内包水分子を除去した1の粉末に28 atmのNOガスを室温で24時間接触させた後,すぐさま1H NMR測定を行なったところ,1のシグナルに加えて,シャープなシグナルが新たに観測された.そのシグナル強度が時間経過とともに減衰することから,1からのNOの放出に起因すると考えられる.一方,1の開口部にストッパーを構築した2では,一旦内包された小分子はOH基の立体障害により骨格内部から抜け出さないことがわかっている.そこで,NO分子を導入後,2等量のBH3-THFを作用させることで,1つのカルボニル基が選択的に還元されたNO@2を67%の収率で得た.Buckyprepカラムにより,空の2とH2O@2を分離することが可能であり,NO@2の内包率を95%まで高めることができた.NO@2は常磁性分子であるNO分子を内包しているにも関わらず,シャープな1H NMRシグナルを示すことに加えて,化学シフトの顕著な温度依存性が観測された.温度可変1H NMR測定の結果,NO@2の常磁性化学シフトにおいては,擬コンタクトシフトに加えて,Fermiコンタクトシフトの寄与があることがわかった.これは,擬コンタクトシフトのみが寄与する常磁性金属内包フラーレンとは異なる.
