Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本研究では超新星爆発からの反電子ニュートリノの観測予言を行うことを目的とし、特に集団的ニュートリノ振動の効果に着目してスタートした。これまでの研究と違った大規模な(星の質量や金属量に対する)パラメータサーベイを予定していたが、研究を進めるうち、多くのパラメータでは、集団的ニュートリノ振動の効果が抑えられることが分かったため、むしろそれが起こらない、極端に密度が軽い星における研究に方向修正した。SK, KamLAND, XMASS 等の観測機器を駆使して、シグナルの特徴を引き出す特色についてはこれまでと変わらず、むしろ建設予定のDUNEによる電子ニュートリノの観測を期待した予言も追加した。
当該年度の研究の手順を説明する。まず、電子崩壊型超新星爆発のシミュレーションを1次元球対称の近似で行った。その時、ニュートリノの輻射輸送については等方拡散近似を使用したが、反応率についてはBruennの標準セットを超えたものを用いた。その後、ニュートリノの散乱角をシングルアングルで近似する手法でニュートリノ振動計算を行った。
研究の結果、これまでに報告のないニュートリノ振動のパターンが現れた。また、ニュートリノ振動の様子はニュートンのスペクトルに現れ、特に高エネルギーニュートリノの観測数と低エネルギーニュートリノの観測数の比に振動の特徴がクリアに現れることが分かった。これらについて論じた論文は投稿準備中である。
