Outline of Annual Research Achievements

光機能性有機分子の蛍光特性は,一分子状態と集合体とで異なる場合が多く,その集合体形成にともなう光応答挙動は協同的作用に起因した閾値的な変化を示す場合が多い.また弱い分子間相互作用で集合化していることが多いため,わずかな条件の違いで様々な集合様式(結晶多形やアモルファス相など)を形成し,蛍光物性は大きく変化する.このことは,高次複合光応答分子集合系の構築に対して,その相安定性も考慮しなければならないことを示唆している.本年度は,ジベンゾイルメタンフッ化ホウ素錯体(BF2DBM)の再沈法によって形成されたナノ粒子の粒径成長にともなうアモルファス-結晶相転移過程について検討した.
再沈法によるナノ粒子凝集過程での蛍光変化を検討した.再沈直後,BF2DBMのナノ粒子分散液は黄色の蛍光を示した.この分散液の発光は時間の経過とともにシアン色(C-Phase)を経由し緑色(G-phase)へと変化した.蛍光スペクトルの解析に基づいて相転移過程を評価した. BF2DBMは再沈直後にアモルファスを形成し,時間の経過とともに核形成および結晶成長の過程においてC-Phaseを経由してG-Phaseへと転移したことを示唆している.この事実は,Ostwaldの段階則にしたがう結晶-結晶相転移を蛍光可視化したものと考えることができる.
また,ジベンゾイルメタンフッ化ホウ素錯体(BF2DBM)の分子集合系での協同的蛍光変調に対する置換基効果に基づいて,協同的な蛍光変調機構に対して,分子間相互作用の階層性の重要性を示唆することができた.
