Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本年度H30では、以下の二つの成果を得た。(i)密度行列繰り込み群(DMRG)による構成で波動関数理論を基盤として、高位励起状態に対する高精度な理論的記述を可能とする方法論および計算法の開発を行い、高性能プログラムを完成させ、その性能評価を行い、良好な結果を得た。(ii)その手法を用いて、領域内研究者と協力して、種々のフォトクロミック化合物(ジアリールエテン誘導体等)の励起状態に対する計算を行った。(iii)同手法に溶媒効果を取り入れる手法開発を行ったJCTC 2018)
(i)では、電子励起状態の波動関数を高精度に求める理論のフレームワークとして、多参照理論に基づく電子状態理論DMRG-XMS-CASPT2法を開発した。多参照理論では、波動関数は複数の電子配置の量子的重ね合わせとして記述される。本研究では、このCASPT2法を複数の励起状態を効率よく数値的安定に求めることが可能な拡張理論XMS-CASPT2法の実装を行い、DMRG波動関数を参照関数とする組み合わせを実現した。そして、二種類のジアリールエテンの光異性反応に関する多状態エネルギーポテンシャルプロファイルを求めることができた(T. Yanai JCTC 2017)
(ii)本手法を用いて、種々のフォトクロミック化合物の励起状態に対する応用計算を行った。応用計算では、領域内の研究者と共同研究を実施した。A03グループの阿部教授らが開発したペンタアリルビイミダゾールのフォトクロミック分子の開発報告した(Y. Kobayashi JACS 2017)。
