Outline of Annual Research Achievements

宇宙の真空の構造の解明に向け、ヒッグスポテンシャルの形状を理解することが第一歩となる。ヒッグスの真空期待値、質量が測定されたことにより、標準模型のヒッグスポテンシャルを仮定すれば、ヒッグスの自己相互作用の大きさが一意に決まる。もし、ヒッグスポテンシャルに新物理が存在する場合には、自己相互作用のずれが期待され、その直接測定が重要視されている。
LHC実験においては、高ルミノシティオプションでも50%程度の精度の測定にとどまると考えられているが、将来CERNで計画されている2つのオプションである HE-LHC(27TeV)、及び、100TeVコライダー実験それぞれの計画における測定精度を世界で初めて試算(各々、15%、5%)した。一方、電弱バリオン生成シナリオが成功するためには強い1次相転移が必要となり、一般にヒッグスの自己相互作用の70%以上のずれを伴うことから、HE-LHCオプションで、このシナリオの検証が十分可能であることを示した。更に、ヒッグスセクターの他の次元6オペレーターが一般に存在する場合に、オペレーターの相関を含めて、自己相互作用のずれを与えるオペレーターの測定精度も試算した。また、QCDの真空構造と関連した、Strong CP問題を解く、Variant Axion模型についての研究も行い、特徴的なトップ稀崩壊シグナルが得られることを示した。これまでに行なってきた単トップシグナルに関する研究を含む、これらの研究成果については、Higgs Topping workshop(招待講演)、Beyond the BSM(招待講演),Higgs Couplings 2018(招待講演),SUSY2018等の国際会議において発表を行い、内容を周知することができた。
