Outline of Annual Research Achievements

真核生物、とりわけ植物のゲノム進化においては、異種由来のゲノムが融合することで作られる異質倍数体ゲノム(ハイブリッドゲノム)が重要な役割を果たす。しかしながら、倍数体ゲノムが誕生した後にそれがどのように新たな生物種のゲノムとして安定化していくか、そのプロセスの根本はほとんど明らかになっていない。本研究では、異質倍数体ゲノムの安定化プロセス解明のためのバイオインフォマティクス研究、特に、異質倍数体ゲノムにおいてはゲノムが大きく不安定化するとの予想のもと、情報と実験のハイブリッドアプローチによってそのプロセスを解明するための基盤を構築することを目指していた。平成30年度は、実際にゲノム3次元構造に関するデータを取得・解析した。具体的には、クロスリンク実験・制限酵素処理とイルミナ社のシーケンサを用いた大規模シーケンスを、複数の培養フェイズについて行うことでゲノム3次元構造を高精度に解明したほか、昨年度に引き続き、非モデル生物でもある異質倍数体ゲノムにおけるゲノム配列を構成する各スキャッフォールドデータの高精度化も行った。
