Outline of Annual Research Achievements

ヒトの認知機能には多くの個人差が存在するが，それがどのような要因によって生起し，どのような神経基盤と関連しているのかについては，多くの点が不明である．本研究では，ヒトの認知機能の中でも特に長期記憶の過程に着目し，それが社会的文脈や加齢の影響によってどのような個人差を生起させるのかについて，機能的磁気共鳴画像（fMRI）と脳損傷患者への行動学的研究から解明することを目的とした．

2018年度の成果として，前年度までに解析が進められていた他者との競争的関係の中で生起する自己の勝利のアウトカムに関連する記憶のfMRI研究について，その成果を論文に投稿し，現在（2019年4月現在）改訂版が審査中である．また，「方向性記憶」に関連する神経基盤とその加齢変化についてのfMRI研究について，その成果を国際学会にて発表し，現在論文投稿へ向けて原稿の準備を進めているところである．同様に，他者への共感性と主観的幸福感の関連についての安静時fMRI研究については，現在論文の原稿がほぼ完成しており，投稿前の最終チェックを行っているところである．そのほかの成果については，社会的記憶の神経基盤について，特に内側前頭前皮質内の機能的解離についての総説論文を発表し，ヒトの社会的記憶の多様な側面に関して，内側前頭前皮質内の異なる領域がそれぞれ関与することが示唆された．

以上のように，2018年度はおおむね当初の計画に即した研究が実施され，かつその成果の発表も順調に進められたと考えている．
