Outline of Annual Research Achievements

30年度は,イベント時系列データから外因と内因の影響を読み取る枠組みを構築し,論文「Identifying exogenous and endogenous activity in social media. K. Fujita, A. Medvedev, S. Koyama, R. Lambiotte, and S. Shinomoto,Physical Review E (2018) 98:052304」を発表した.システム内でのイベント発生は,外部の要因によって引き起こされるか,系内部の自己励起によって引き起こされるかのどちらか,あるいは両方によっている.ここでは自己励起機構を備えた一般化線形モデル(GLM)をデータにフィットさせることで外部時間変動と自己励起効果を選り分けてみせる.非線形Hawkesプロセスのシミュレーションによって生成されたデータでその手法が働くことを確認し,それを特定のハッシュタグをもったツイッターデータに応用した.ニュースメディアなどによる外因とリツィートによるイベントカスケード発生の影響を選り分けたところ,外因と内因がオリジナルツィートとリツィートに近い様子を示した.社会データの解析においてはまだ十分なノウハウがなかったので,ベルギーの研究者達の協力も得て国際共同研究としてまとめることができた.方法論は一般性の高い枠組なので,今後も多くのイベント時系列に応用することが可能と考えている.研究課題の「神経信号からネットワーク構造を推定し,そこに発現する活動パターンを予測する」については神経細胞が互いの結合を通して信号を交換している有様をGLMを用いて神経細胞間の回路構造を推定する枠組みも構築し,現在論文執筆中である.そこでは1000個のホジキンハクスリー型ニューロンのシミュレーションを行って検証したところ,高い推定能力を有することが明らかになり,それを実験で得られたデータに応用している.
