Outline of Annual Research Achievements

磁気揺らぎを用いた巨大応答の実現可能性を中心に,磁気散乱による輸送現象を調べた.これらの研究には,散乱理論とボルツマン方程式を組み合わせた計算の他,モンテカルロ法による数値シミュレーションを用いた.
まず,昨年度行った摂動法による解析に続き,本年度はより近藤結合が強い領域におけるスキュー散乱の解析を行った.強結合領域の解析を行うため,アンダーソン不純物模型を用いて散乱レートを調べた.得られた散乱レートの解析から,電子と磁気不純物の結合が強い極限で10度以上の大きなスキュー角を示すことを見出した.さらに,この結果を用いて電気伝導度を評価し,10度以上の大きなホール角が得られることを確認した.これらの結果は,スキュー散乱による巨大な異常ホール効果の実現を示唆する.
次に,昨年度用意したモンテカルロ法のコードを用いて,カイラルな磁気構造が生じる三角格子模型のホール伝導度を調べた.そして,磁気転移点近傍において,基底状態よりも1000倍近く大きな異常ホール効果が表れることを確認した.この結果により,磁気揺らぎによるホール効果が基底状態のそれよりも大きな応答を示すことを初めて示された.
最後に,磁気散乱による非相反応答を解析した.最近,MnSiで発見された非相反電流は,磁気散乱が起こしている可能性が高い.しかし,これまで理論的な理解は得られていない.我々は非相反電流の起源として,2スピン・クラスタによる非対称散乱を考えた.そして,2スピン・クラスタがベクトル・カイラリティによる非相反電流を生じることを見出した.この効果はこれまで金属では見られなかった大きな非相反電流を生じる.これらの結果は実験とよく一致する.
以上の結果は,熱的に揺らいだスピンの局所相関が多彩な輸送現象を示すことを明らかにした.特に,従来のメカニズムより大きな応答を磁気揺らぎが実現できることを理論的に示した.
