Outline of Annual Research Achievements

ボトル型微小光共振器で可能となるフォノンモードの高周波化の研究を行い、30MHz-160MHzの機械振動モードの微小光共振器の作成方法を確立していた。一方、共振器の微小化により実現した1100MHz超の機械振動モードに関しては、数値シミュレーションでの解析により再現が難しい状況であったが、その方法も確立し、論文として取りまとめられる状況になった。これにより、さらなる高周波化による高性能化の検討も可能になった。さらにfQ積が6×10^12を超えるボトル型微小光共振器も実現し、室温での量子オプトメカニクスの可能性も示すことができた。また、昨年度から実施しているCs冷却原子とのハイブリッド量子システムを目指した共同研究に注力して研究を行った。Cs冷却原子の共鳴波長は852nmであり、この波長の単一光子とCs原子の内部状態の相互作用により光子と原子のエンタングルメントが生成される。他の物理系とのハイブリッド系のためには、この原子とエンタングルした光子の状態を壊すことなく波長を変換することが重要となる。特に通信波長帯(1540nm付近)への変換に注目して、このための量子波長変換器の構成として赤外の励起光により差周波発生を行い通信波長帯光子へ変換する実験を試みた。波長変換素子としては導波路型PPLNを用い変換効率を数10%程度となるシステムを組み上げ、動作確認を行った。これにより、Cs冷却原子と他の物理系とのハイブリッド系への道筋をつけた。
