Outline of Annual Research Achievements

【意義と重要性】
超伝導量子回路とスピンによるハイブリッド量子系が近年注目を集めている.この研究分野では基板上に作成された2次元の超伝導回路上でこれまで専ら研究が行われてきたが,これが技術的な障害となりここ数年研究が停滞していた.さらに,共振器に超伝導体を用いる弊害で,10 mT以上の磁場が印可出来ず,(可視または赤外の)光を実験に組み込むことも極めて困難であった.本研究では,超伝導量子ビットとダイヤモンド中の不純物スピンによるハイブリッド量子系を3次元マイクロ波共振器を用いて実現する.
【研究成果】
前年度で設計・実装したマイクロ波共振器とダイヤモンド結晶からなるハイブリッド量子系を用いてメーザー(microwave amplification by stimulated emission of radiation,誘導放出によるマイクロ波増幅)増幅器を実現した.その結果,メーザー増幅器は極めて高い飽和パワーを持ち,なおかつジョセフソンパラメトリック増幅器に匹敵する超低雑音増幅器を実現していることを確認した.
