Outline of Annual Research Achievements

暗黒物質対消滅を探査する上で、非常に有力な候補天体として矮小銀河がある。これらは構造形成の過程で銀河よりも先に形成された構造であり、重力によって銀河に降着した衛星銀河である。すでに銀河内に数10の矮小銀河が見つかっているが、将来観測計画であるLSSTを用いることにより、さらに多くの矮小銀河が見つかることが期待されている。これらとガンマ線データのクロス相関を取ることで、暗黒物質対消滅への制限をより精度良く求めることに成功した。まず、構造形成理論を用いた現実的な事前確率分布を初めて理論的に構築し、従来考えられていた制限を大幅に書き換えた(Phys.Rev.D 102, 061302)。またLSSTで見つかると考えられる矮小銀河の数と質量分布を予言し、そこから期待される暗黒物質への制限を導いた(JCAP 1910, 040)。
全天ガンマ線データと、宇宙大規模構造とのクロス相関関数を解析した。大規模構造のデータはDark Energy Surveyによる重力レンズマップを利用した。こうすることにより暗黒物質を天体によらない形で直接捉えることができるという利点がある。この結果、ガンマ線と重力レンズマップのクロス相関を検出することに世界で初めて成功し、尚且つそのデータが高エネルギー天体からくるものと無矛盾であることを示した。暗黒物質対消滅に対する制限も得ることに成功した。(Phys.Rev.Lett. 124, 101102)
この他暗黒物質サブハローの性質を数値シミュレーションを用いて解析したもの(MNRAS 492, 3662)、低輝度銀河周りのガンマ線データを用いて暗黒物質対消滅を制限したもの(JCAP 2001, 059)、ガンマ線、ニュートリノ、宇宙線というマルチメッセンジャーを用いて暗黒物質の崩壊を議論したもの(JCAP 2001, 003)など、成果は多岐にわたる。
