Outline of Annual Research Achievements

場の量子論の基本原理である「散乱振幅の解析性やユニタリー性」は弦理論構築の際に重要な役割を果たしており、弦理論を特徴付ける中心的な原理と広く認識されている。本研究の目的は、人類が到達できる最高エネルギースケールの現象である「インフレーション宇宙」、特に「原始揺らぎの非ガウス性」、を用いてこれらの原理を検証するための理論的枠組みを構築することである。2年間の本研究期間ではこの目標に向けて主に以下の2点に注力した。
1.運動量空間における共形相関関数の研究:散乱振幅の解析性やユニタリー性の重要な帰結として、低エネルギー有効相互作用として現れる高階微分項の符号が決定できることが知られている。このような「正値性条件」を原始揺らぎの非ガウス性を用いて検証することは弦理論の基本原理の検証に繋がる。原始揺らぎの非ガウス性に対する「正値性条件」導出に向けて、本研究期間中には原始揺らぎと同じ対称性を持つ共形4点関数の基底を構築することに成功し、関連する共著論文を3編出版した。現在、これらの結果を応用し、原始揺らぎの非ガウス性の符号を解析性等から決定する方法を開発している。
2.原始揺らぎの符号と重い粒子のスピンの関係:先に述べた「有効相互作用に対する正値性条件」は理論に対する普遍的な整合性条件である一方で、「その背後にある重い粒子のスピン」など理論の詳細な情報が失われる点が現象論的には不満足である。正値性条件の研究を進める過程で「正値性条件が適用できない有効相互作用にあえて着目することで、高エネルギー理論のより詳細な情報が得られるのではないか」という着想を得た。本研究期間中には、最初のステップとして平坦時空における散乱振幅を考え、その解析性等を用いることで「有効相互作用の符号と重い粒子のスピンの関係」を明らかにし、非ガウス性への示唆を議論した。これらの結果に基づき共著論文を1編出版した。
