Outline of Annual Research Achievements

大脳皮質-大脳基底核の局所電場電位 (LFP) のベータ振動現象は、黒質ドーパミン (DA) 細胞の異常によって引き起こされるパーキンソン病 (PD) やその動物モデルで顕著に表れ、運動の制御に関わると考えられてきた。こうした中、研究代表者らは、価値判断の悲観度を定量化できる葛藤課題を考案し、課題遂行中のマカクザルの大脳皮質-大脳基底核から LFP 記録を行ってきた。本研究では、これまで記録したデータのみならず、新たに大脳皮質下領域から神経活動や LFPを計測し、これまで報告されてきた運動制御だけではなく、情動や価値判断に特徴的に応答するベータ振動 (情動ベータ振動) が存在することを示す。当該年度は、これまで長年にわたって記録してきたデータを用い、線条体の局所電場電位のベータ振動に着目し、この線条体ベータ波が悲観的な意思決定と相関することを突き止めた。特に、本年度は、これまで蓄えてきた線条体のLFPデータを用い、悲観的な意思決定を表す神経活動の同定を目指した。この研究では、不安や負の結果に対する価値判断を定量的に取り扱うことのできる葛藤課題を遂行中のマカクザルの線条体からLFPを記録した。刺激をあたえている際に尾状核における電場電位を同時に記録したところ,ひき起こされた悲観的な価値判断に相関してベータ波の活動が変化することがわかった.これらのことから,尾状核の局所の神経回路は悲観的な価値判断に因果的にかかわり,尾状核における電場電位のベータ波はこの不安に似た状態と相関して活動することが示された。
