Outline of Annual Research Achievements

言語発達の仕組みの構成的解明を目指して、以下の２つの研究を行った。
１．発話意図を表す機能語（終助詞）の獲得の仕組みの構成的解明
以下の２つの処理を統合したモデルを構築した。１）相手の対話行為（質問、依頼、陳述のような発語内行為のレベルでの発話意図）の明示的な表象は持たず、周囲の状況と相手の発話に応じた内部処理と行動を、報酬に基づき学習する処理（自動的な処理）。２）ベイジアンネットワークを用いた、明示的に相手の対話行為を推定する処理（意識的な処理）。自動的な処理により行動が決定され、その行動の理由が意識的な処理により後付けされるというモデルである。両処理の学習過程を分析し、学習初期に2, 3歳の子どもで観察される肯定バイアス（noと答えるべき質問が来てもyesと答えてしまう傾向）が生じており、その後状態空間の分割が起こり、バイアスが解消されることを示した。今後さらに研究を進めることで、明示的な意図の表象と後付け説明の導入が、進化の上で、どのような利点となるかを明らかにすることは、知能の解明にとっての最重要課題の一つと言える。
２．ゲーム環境における教示発話の二重分節と意味獲得のモデル構築
本研究では、比較的自然な発話を対象として教師無し二重分節（音素と単語の二層への分節）を行うことと、分節された単語と指示対象を強化学習により対応づけることを目的とした。今年度はその第一歩として、方向を指示する発話の意味に絞って獲得モデルを構築した。すべての単語に対して、「上／下／左／右に進め」の意味付与を試みると、「みぎ」のような方向指示の意味を持つ単語についてはこの学習が順調に進むが、それ以外の単語については学習が進まないため、言葉の種別が区別できるだろうというのが基本的なアイディアであった。二重分節の精度により、意味付与の学習の難易度（学習速度と結果の精度）が変わることが確認された。
