Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research on Innovative Areas (Research in a proposed research area)
本研究課題の核心をなすのは、戦間期から冷戦初期に至るアジア・太平洋地域において広域ネットワークがグローバルな課題解決にどのような影響を与えたのか、という学術的「問い」である。米国での排日移民法成立（1924年）を機に設立された太平洋問題調査会（IPR）はその解決策を模索する広域ネットワークであった。移民排斥は、「現代的危機」にもつながるグローバルな課題であり、本課題は、IPRの活動過程の紆余曲折を国際政治史の手法で実証的に解明するものである。
「グローバル関係学」研究会（2020年1月）での報告後、修正を経てグローバル関係学シリーズ第7巻『ローカルと世界を結ぶ』（2020年10月）にアジア太平洋の越境的ネットワークについての論考を掲載した。オンラインによるブック・ローンチに参加し、研究成果の社会への発信を行った。また、アジア太平洋の越境的ネットワークにおけるカナダの役割に関する研究を進め、以下の2論文を執筆した。Yoshie Takamitsu, Manchukuo’s quest for "recognition" and the Institute of Pacific Relations, Hiroo Nakajima ed., International Society in the Early Twentieth Century: Asia-Pacific Imperial Rivalries, International Organizations, and Experts, Nay 2021.Yoshie Takamitsu, Interwar Transnational Network and the British Commonwealth: The Institute of Pacific Relations and Transformation of Relations among the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States, 1942-43, The Japanese Journal of American Studies, 32, June 2021.2020年12月にAustralian National Universityとセミナーを共催し、「グローバル関係学」と地域研究の架橋を行った。
