Outline of Research at the Start

近年,プランク衛星による宇宙背景放射の観測データと低い赤方偏移における観測(ハッブル宇宙望遠鏡,弱い重力レンズ等の観測)のデータから得られる「ハッブル定数」「8Mpcスケールの密度揺らぎの振幅(sigma_8)」の値の間に矛盾があることが問題として議論されている.この矛盾は観測における系統誤差等に起因する可能性もあるが,標準宇宙論の拡張を示唆している可能性もある.本研究では,ハッブル定数,及び,sigma_8の問題がどのような標準宇宙論の拡張を示唆しているか,また,そのような拡張された宇宙論の枠組みにおけるニュートリノ質量の宇宙観測からの制限を詳細に調べる.

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

ハッブル定数問題を解決し得るモデルは様々提案されているが、そのようなモデルの代表として、本研究では電子質量が宇宙の再結合時期付近において現在の値と異なっているモデル(電子質量が時間変化するモデル)を考え、このモデルのフレームワークにおける宇宙論観測データからのニュートリノ質量に対する制限を解析した(当該モデルの場合、平坦でない宇宙を考えると、ハッブル定数問題をより解決できるようになるため、非平坦な宇宙も含み解析を行った)。このモデルはハッブル定数問題を解決するために必要な一般的な条件を満たすモデルと考えられるため、このモデルのフレームワークにおける宇宙論的なニュートリノ質量に対する制限は、ハッブル定数問題を解決し得るシナリオにおける一般的な特徴を示すと考えられる。我々はこのモデルにおけるニュートリノ質量の宇宙論的な制限について、プランク衛星による宇宙背景放射、バリオン音響振動、超新星爆発のデータを等を用いてマルコフ連鎖モンテカルロ法による解析を行うことにより調べた。

現在の宇宙論の標準的なモデルであるΛCDMモデルにおいては、宇宙背景放射の揺らぎの観測からニュートリノ質量に対する制限を解析した場合、ハッブル定数とニュートリノ質量は負の相関を持つが、上記のハッブル定数問題を解決し得るモデルにおいては、正の相関を持つことが分かった。そして、ニュートリノ質量に対する宇宙論的な制限がΛCDMモデルの場合より弱くなることを示した。本研究は、ハッブル定数問題がニュートリノ質量の制限に対して影響を与えることを具体的に示したのみでなく、同問題が他の宇宙論的な側面にも影響を与え得ることを示した点でも興味深いと考えられる。
