Outline of Research at the Start

量子多体系の多電子系のハミルトニアンを形式的に書き下すことは出来ても、最も基本的な性質とされるハミルトニアンの固有値、固有状態を求めることは数値的にも困難な問題である。その数値解法手法の一つとして結合クラスター法というものがあり、これをパリティー・時間(PT)対称性のある結合クラスター法のアルゴリズムを開発することを目的とし、非平衡量子開放系を含んだ量子シミュレーションとして実装出来ることを提案する。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

本年度の研究成果に関しては量子多体系の計算に関するボトルネックを洗い出すために、既存手法に関するレビューを行い、レビュー論文として取りまとめ、査読付き学術論文誌に掲載された。更には、本レビュー論文をまとめる過程において、量子計算機のノイズによる安定性の概念に気づき、量子乱数を用いた量子計算機の性能評価に関する研究成果をいくつか得て、それらを査読付き学術論文に掲載することが出来た。この研究手法を現在使用可能なクラウド上の量子計算機のサービスに対して適用すると、短期的にも長期的にも安定的には動作していない可能性を示唆することが出来た。この安定性の解析に関しては、量子多体系の量子計算機の利用に関して、どの程度影響があるかを調べはじめている。研究計画立案時には、外界の環境が一定のものであるので、制御可能であろうと推測していたが、不安定な環境系の中での制御機能を考える必要がある。これらの研究は今後、どの程度、量子計算機の応用可能性があるのかを示す意味でも重要な研究に発展していくと確信し、その礎を気づくことが出来たと考えている。量子多体系のダイナミクスに関しては、原子核物理との類似点を見出すことが出来、量子ウォークを用いた解析が有効なのではないかという知見を得た。ただ、これだけでは実際の原子核反応に関して適用できないため、今後の研究の発展が重要であると考える。これらの研究成果は「量子クラスターで読み解く物質の階層構造」の新学術領域内で様々な階層の物理領域に触れることが出来たからであると考えている。
