Outline of Research at the Start |
外部刺激に応答した植物、植物由来材料および構造物の力学的最適化過程とサステナブル性の解明においては、その変異過程を追跡し解析するために特化されたセンシング技術が必要となる。本研究では、植物、植物由来材料および構造物の力学的動態解析に最適化した様々なサイズや形状の機能性パターンのレーザー描画法を開拓する。また、レーザー直接描画法で形成したフレキシブルセンサーを用いた力学的最適化過程における非破壊リアルタイムセンシング法の開拓を行う。さらに、ケミルミネッセンス解析等の手法用いて、外部刺激により歪やストレスを受けた組織の変化を明らかにする。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements |
本研究では,植物の力学的最適化過程とサステナブル性の解明を目的として,レーザー直接描画法により形成した機能性パターンを用いた動的挙動の観察および数値計算によるシミュレーションや,種々手法を用いた非破壊・リアルタイムセンシングに関する検討を行った。エンドウ(Pisum sativum L)の芽生えである豆苗の重力屈性挙動を,レーザーマーキング法で茎に形成した微細なドットマトリックスパターンの各点の変位の時間変化から追跡したところ,植物は屈曲と伸長のバランスを制御しながら力学的な最適化構造へ向かっていくことを示す結果が得られた。また, 重力屈性―光屈性において,光屈性が顕著だった豆苗の茎の先端から重力屈性が観察された基部まで,茎の断面形状の変化の観察を行ったところ,多角形状の先端部から次第に楕円形となり,基部に向かってより円形に近い構造への変化が観察された。それぞれの部位の茎断面形状に対して3Dモデルを用いた屈曲のシミュレーションを有限要素法によって行ったところ,植物は自らの挙動に最適な形状を選択して,力学的な最適化構造へと変位していることが示唆された。また,植物の動的挙動には水により生じる膨圧の影響があると考えられることから,重力屈性-光屈性サイクルにおける植物組織内の水の移動現象の変化をヒートパルス法により調べたところ、屈曲挙動が顕著に起こると同時に、水流速に関わるパラメータであるヒートパルス速度も増加することが示された。
