Outline of Research at the Start

最新の重力波観測と整合的な重力理論として、数多くの一般相対論の拡張理論の中でどのようなものが許されるのかを探求する。特に、拡張された理論に現れる重力波放射に対する補正を正しく評価することを目指す。

Outline of Annual Research Achievements

スカラーの自由度を非動的とし、2つのテンソル自由度、すなわち一般相対性理論と同じ数の動的自由度を持つ空間共変修正重力を考察した。このような修正重力理論のうち、3つの時間関数で特徴づけられるクラスに着目し、2つのテンソル自由度を持つ修正重力が、観測的あるいは現象論的に一般相対性理論とどのように区別できるかを議論した。この理論が、弱い重力場と重力波の伝搬速度について、一般相対性理論と同じ予測を与えることを確認した。また、漸近的に平坦なブラックホール解に修正がないことを確認した。理論における時間依存関数の選択の自由度が大きいため、一様等方な宇宙論的ダイナミクスをΛCDMモデルに近づけるか、あるいは同一にすることができることがわかった。長波長および短波長の極限における宇宙論的摂動の振る舞いを調べ、いずれの極限においても、修正重力の効果は背景進化の修正を通じてのみ現れることを示した。最後に、物質セクターでガリレオンの場が存在する場合、スカラーの自由度が復活し、理論の本質的な特徴を台無しにしてしまうことを指摘した。
SU(2)ゲージ場あるいは互いに直交するベクトル場の3つ組が存在する場合の、一様・等方・正曲率の宇宙のダイナミクスを研究した。SU(2)の場合、ゲージ場の配置については以前から知られているアンザッツを用いるが、ノンアーベリアン対称性の場合はより非自明であり、新しいアンザッツを開発した。特に、アキシオン-SU(2)インフレーションとU(1)×U(1)×U(1)対称性を持つベクトル場によるインフレーションを考え、そのダイナミクスを詳細に数値的に解析した。
