Outline of Research at the Start	味蕾細胞において発見された味覚の神経伝達の場を提供するミトコンドリア－細胞膜連携ゾーンだが、これはミトコンドリアと細胞膜という前代未聞のオルガネラ連携を介して細胞膜に局在するイオンチャネルが直接的に神経伝達物質放出を担う、という異例づくしのオルガネラゾーンである。その形成原理や機能的特質、その生理学的意義は未解明かつ本分野における核心的問いであり、本研究の主要課題である。
