Outline of Research at the Start	私は小胞輸送を担う低分子量GTPaseである４０種以上のRabのうち、破骨細胞分化誘導依存的にRab38発現が著明に誘導されることを見出し、そのパラログRab32とともにその機能に着目して解析を開始した。その結果、マクロファージや破骨細胞においてRab32/38陽性のリソソーム様の新規オルガネラ（LRO）が存在することを発見した。その中にミトコンドリアや初期エンドソームがそのままの形でミクロオートファジーによりに取り込まれ、分解された。そこで本計画では、ミクロオートファジーの分子機構及び生理的意義の解明を目的とした研究を行う。
