Research Abstract

本年度も昨年度と同様に,試料作成を連携研究者の菊池が担当し,光学測定・物性解明を代表者の江馬を中心として,研究協力者の欅田および学生3名が協力して行った.
GaNナノコラムについては,コラム形状が動的電子相関に及ぼす影響を明らかにしようと試みたが,測定がうまくいかなかったため,配列効果に対する研究に重心をシフトした.ランダムに配列した場合の光局在の研究と局在が強い状態で強励起したときに生じるランダムレージングについての研究を行った.その結果,GaNナノコラムにおいて始めてランダムレージングの観測に成功し,光局在とランダムレージングの関係も詳細に調べることができた.特に,光局在の全体像を把握できる擬ギャップマップの作成に成功したことは大きい.これにより,コラム径や充填率をどのようにすれば,どの周波数の光が局在するかを判定できるようになった.さらに,単一パラメータスケーリングに関する考察も行い,光の局在長とシステムサイズだけで決まる局在の特性を明らかにした.
InNについては,21年度に行った薄膜を用いた基礎物性の解明を,ナノコラムにも進めた.ナノコラムと薄膜を比較すると,キャリアダイナミクスに違いが現れ,ナノコラムは光励起キャリアのバンドギャップ再規格化の効果が非常に強い系だということも判明した.今後は,InNに関しても,コラム径を制御した試料を用いて,より詳細なダイナミクスの研究に発展させて行く予定である.
