社会的シグナルとしての顔表情:発達認知神経科学からのアプローチ

Research Abstract

本研究の目的は「社会的シグナル」としての顔表情について発達認知神経科学的に明らかにすることである。
平成22年度は、前年度に成人を対象として行われた「表情」をフィーバック刺激とするギャンブル課題を発展させ、○や×など(日本では)正負の意味を表す記号を用いた実験を行った。実験の結果、前年度得られた顔表情と同様にCongruentな場合(e.gギャンブル課題における正の報酬と正の記号が対応)とIncongruentな場合(e.g.負の報酬と正の記号の対応)で差異が発見された。この結果は、恐らく日本(あるいは○と×を日本と同じ意味で捉える国)特有のものと推察される。
乳児実験に関しては、前年度から引き続き社会的参照場面における表情の影響をみるため、非接触アイカメラを用いて、表情と視線追従との関係を明らかにする実験を行った。12ヶ月前後の乳児を対象に行った実験結果を詳細に分析したところ、視線追従におけるサッケードのオンセットに関しては表情間(喜び顔、驚き顔)で差が見慣れなかったが、ターゲットまでの到達時間に関しては表情による効果が認められた。更に、より高速の非接触アイカメラを使った場合でも同様の効果が認められている。
現在、これらの知見を発展させて、EEGとハイスピードアイカメラを用いた実験に着手している。
