Research Abstract

エアロゾルが及ぼす植物生態系への影響を評価することを目的に、乾性・湿性・霧水沈着を含めた包括的な沈着過程と葉面水の蒸発に伴う濃縮等の物理化学過程をモデル化し、申請者がこれまで開発を進めてきた地表面モデルに導入し、植物への物質沈着量とともに樹冠内部の酸性降下物の濃度および沈着量の鉛直分布を評価可能な精緻な地表面モデルを開発した。オゾン、硫黄化合物(SO2)、窒素化合物(NOx)およびアンモニア(NH3)等のガス状物質やエアロゾル・霧等の粒子状物質の植生への乾性沈着過程と葉面水の蒸発に伴う濃縮等の物理化学渦程をモデル化し、地表面モデルに導入した。この地表面モデルを欧米の植生地で測定されたガス状・粒子状物質の乾性沈着フラックス、兵庫県六甲山地のスギ林で観測された物質沈着量等のデータを収集した。これらの地域に開発した地表面モデルを適用し、空気力学的および樹冠水収支法によって得られたガス状および粒子状物質フラックスを良好に再現できることを確かめた。これに加えて、葉面水の濃縮過程と大気中のガスー粒子転換過程を新たにモデル化し、この地表面モデルに導入した。本研究で収集した観測データとの比較に基づいて地表面モデルを検証することによって、酸性降下物の濃度および沈着量の森林内部での鉛直分布を評価できる地表面モデルを完成させた。また、当該研究課題の計画研究班との連携によって、サブミクロン粒子の沈着において吸湿効果が極めて重要な役割を果たしていることが明らかになった。
